ABOUT ME
Lauren works primarily with older teenagers, young adults, adults, and older adults. She specializes in supporting LGBT+ couples and families, particularly those facing life transitions, parenting issues, grief, and neurodivergence. Her areas of expertise encompass neurodivergence, infertility and fertility journeys, adoption, polyamory and open relationships, infidelity, and adjustment disorders affecting couples and families. She also supports individuals who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault, as well as those dealing with grief.
Lauren’s identity and lived experience include being a white, cisgender, LGBT+ individual with family members who have low-functioning autism and ADHD, and she identifies as Jewish. Culturally, she has experience working with queer couples, Latinx families, Black families, multicultural and bicultural families, Pacific Islander cultures, and families impacted by incarceration. The therapeutic modalities she employs include narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems therapy, family systems therapy, emotion-focused therapy, play and art therapy, yoga, attachment-based therapy, and trauma-focused approaches.
SShe is committed to working closely with her clients to identify the most effective therapeutic goals and interventions tailored to their unique journeys. Lauren focuses on helping couples and family systems navigate challenges such as life stressors, grief, trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, fertility issues, and parenting experiences.
