ABOUT ME
Choosing a new therapist and sharing your feelings with a new person can be a difficult task, and I would be honored to be on the journey with you! I'm Danielle, an intern from the Social Work program at Simmons University. I lead with empathy and compassion and have an intrinsic drive to help others build the skills necessary to feel capable and confident in their life.
I utilize a strengths-based approach with my clients, recognizing and leveraging their inherent strengths to foster resilience and empowerment. My background includes extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), both of which are evidence-based practices effective for a range of mental health issues. Additionally, I integrate holistic health principles into my practice, considering the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in the therapeutic process.
I work with individuals across various stages of life and have extensive experience working with neurodivergent populations and those diagnosed with mental disorders. My approach is client-centered, aiming to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
A day where we work together to help you progress toward your goals is a day where I feel fulfilled! Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, or navigating life's transitions, I am here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to build a life where you feel capable, confident, and connected.
Throughout my internship, my professional growth and clinical practice have been under the direct supervision and guidance of Anim Aweh, LICSW (She/Her).
