ABOUT ME
Brook serves individuals aged 18 to 50, focusing on ADHD, anxiety, codependency, children of divorce, LGBTQ+ issues—including lesbian, gay, transgender, intersex, gender identity, dysphoria, euphoria, nonbinary, non-conforming, queer, and LGBQ+ sexualities—life transitions, polyamory, non-monogamy, open relationships, political stress, self-esteem, and social anxiety. Her primary emphasis is on LGBTQ+ rights and experiences; she is also a Gender-Affirming Care Access Advocate with expertise in this area. Identifying with the LGBTQ+ community, Brook is also Jewish. Although she has cultural knowledge of Jewish traditions and the notion of whiteness, her understanding of Hispanic and Black cultures is primarily derived from witnessing rather than personal experience. Her therapeutic methods include culturally responsive and affirming approaches, compassion-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and strength-based therapy.
Brook is genuinely excited to welcome you! Mental health is crucial, and she is thrilled that you’re taking steps toward improvement. She aims to foster a safe, supportive environment filled with authenticity, trust, and affirmation as you navigate this process. She empathizes that challenges can arise for anyone, irrespective of age, sexuality, or racial identity, and she values the opportunity to work through those struggles with you. Although therapy may sometimes feel daunting, she believes together we can create a comfortable experience. Remember, you’re never alone in this journey.
As an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, Brook is passionate about supporting individuals and aspires to be a gentle, encouraging presence in each person’s unique journey.
