ABOUT ME

Anim is a mental health therapist, with over 15 years of experience in direct care and facilitation, she is a licensed therapist and a certified clinical health educator. Her expertise lies in assisting Black women in overcoming trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Anim approaches mental health therapy with a unique and holistic perspective. She recognizes the intricate interplay between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, taking into account the impact of systemic racism and oppression on mental health.

Anim's primary focus is on empowering Black women to heal from trauma and cultivate joyful lives. As an active listener, she creates a safe and supportive space for her clients to process their experiences, identify their strengths, and work towards their goals. Her therapeutic approach is inclusive, culturally competent, and evidence-based, tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

She has coined the phrase Therapy Over Silence, which is tied to a social movement that addresses the unique needs of black and brown people in the mental health space.

Anim is committed to making a positive impact by providing comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health support to Black women. Through her work, she strives to create a more inclusive and accessible mental health space for all individuals, particularly those who have been historically underserved.
