About Austin
My therapeutic style centers on a psychodynamic framework, with a particular emphasis on incorporating Jungian principles to help bring unconscious material into conscious awareness. I believe these deeper layers of thought, emotion, and experience can have a profound influence on the psyche, and that by surfacing and engaging with them, clients can better understand their emotions, behaviors, and relational patterns. This process often opens the door to insight, personal growth, and healing.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work, which have provided me with a solid foundation in the theoretical and practical underpinnings of human behavior and mental processes. My work is also shaped by a deep commitment to social justice, and I actively incorporate this lens into therapy. I recognize how systemic oppression and discrimination impact mental health and strive to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and affirming for individuals of all backgrounds.
I work primarily with adolescents, young adults, and those within the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. I understand the unique challenges these groups often face and aim to show up as a collaborative, nonjudgmental partner in exploring each client’s specific needs and concerns, whether around identity, gender euphoria or dysphoria, or navigating life with ADHD.

Why I Do This Work
“Healing asks us to slow down and listen, not just to what hurts, but to what has always longed to be seen. I believe real change begins when we are met with compassion in the places we’ve learned to hide.”
- Austin Davis
My Approach in Practice
My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with understanding the deeper layers of our emotional and relational lives. I draw from psychodynamic and Jungian frameworks, which means I pay close attention to the patterns, dreams, and unconscious material that shape how we move through the world. Together, we might explore how early relationships or spiritual experiences still echo in your present day or how inner conflicts may be asking to be witnessed rather than silenced.
At the same time, I know that practical tools matter. Depending on your needs, I also incorporate mindfulness practices, somatic grounding, and parts work to support regulation and insight. I hold space for the full complexity of who you are, including your cultural identity, faith background, and lived experiences across gender, sexuality, and neurodivergence. My goal is not to fix or diagnose, but to walk alongside you as you come into greater clarity, compassion, and choice in your life.
What Clients Often Come to Me For
People tend to reach out to me when they are:
Reclaiming a sense of self they were told to let go of
When identity, culture, gender, or religion have been shaped by contradiction or loss. I support folks who are trying to stay rooted while also unlearning and rebuilding.
Ongoing stress, burnout, and emotional fatigue
Not just to stop a behavior, but to understand what it has been holding, numbing, or protecting. Together, we look at patterns without shame, and with compassion for the parts that have gotten you through.
Trying to make peace with their own complexity
When it feels like they’re “too much” in some rooms and “not enough” in others. Clients often come in wanting to soften the harsh voices inside, and learn how to show up for themselves differently.
Life transitions
and identity shifts
Some people arrive during periods of significant change, including shifts in relationships, parenting roles, faith or spirituality, identity exploration, grief, or life after major loss or transition. These moments often unsettle what once felt familiar and call for thoughtful, grounded support.
Learning how to be in relationship without disappearing
Whether that’s with family, partners, community, or themselves. There’s often a longing to be known more deeply, but also a fear that the real you might not be accepted.
A steady and human space
And often, people come simply wanting a place that feels calm, respectful, and real. A space where healing does not require urgency, where growth can unfold at a pace that feels sustainable, and where understanding and skill-building happen together.
My hope is to co-create a space where healing isn’t linear and growth includes rest, rupture, and repair. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
